Day 16

   Life, sometimes you are too much for me. I try and I try and I try to understand you, but you evade comprehension. You have brought joy in nothingness, but wreaked havoc when I had everything in excess. 

   You took away my aspirations, but gave me in return things I didn't think to dream for. 

   You take me on wild journeys to find the truth and then show it to me when I return, at home. 

   You taunt and tease me until I despair and later, I realize I wouldn't have you teach me any other way.

Oh, life, you ultimate paradox, you,

You take my world and do with it what you will

And yet, today, #16,

I'm grateful for you still.
