I knew in the first grade when the teacher asked us to trace the alphabet, that I wanted to be a writer. In second grade, I wrote a story about birthday parties and read it out loud to my class. In middle and high school, I had notebooks filled with poems and short stories and there was no doubt in my mind that I was on my way.
I'm not sure where that all got lost. I lost my inspiration to write and even when I tried to sit, there was nothing to write about. And honestly, as much as I knew I loved to write, I thought that I was past that 'phase' in my life.
But I felt something was missing and I've been praying a lot recently. Actually, maybe not a lot, but making heartfelt prayers about anything and everything and then this Instagram happened. I'm not sure what it will become, or if I have what it takes to stick out the 365 days, but today, #22, I'm grateful for it.
